 Purpose

 
  1. Sign your student loan promissory note.
  2. Fulfill Federal Entrance Counseling sessions requirements.
  3. Help you better understand the repayment of your student loan(s) and;
  4. Introduce you to University Accounting Service (UAS).
 Session Steps

 

  1. Complete your entrance interview questionnaire.
  2. Review your student loan Rights & Responsibilities.
  3. Review and sign your student loan promissory note.
  4. Print your signed promissory note.
  5. Read counseling summary and links to other helpful websites.
 Please have the following information ready:

 


  1. PIN Number as indicated by your institution:
    • SFA PIN (assigned by the Department of Education to complete your FAFSA form on the Internet) PIN Reminder: www.pin.ed.gov
            or
    • Campus PIN (assigned by your institution)
            or
    • UAS PIN (obtained at this site)
  2. Your Social Security Number.
  3. Your Driver's License Number.
  4. Name, Address, Telephone Number of References.
  5. Cost of Attendance (COA)
    The estimated full and reasonable cost of attendance for the period of enrollment covered by this loan. Note: COA is not needed for a Perkins Loan.

    The cost of attendance typically includes:

       Tuition and fees payable to the institution
       Books and supplies
       Room and board
       Personal costs, transportation

    COA should be available in your award package or the average can be found on the campus website.
